Frequently asked questions about hair coloring:
What hair color should I use?
The greater the color change, the more frequent touch ups required, because your roots grow that much more obvious. If you stick within two to three shades or your natural hair color, you’ll be able to extend your time between salon visits and reduce your costs.
Highlights Last Longer Than Single Process
Highlights are a better choice than a single process because your natural color shows through, so it won’t be so obvious when the color starts to grow out. However, highlights typically take longer to apply and are therefore more expensive than single process color. To save time — and money—ask your colorist for a half a head of highlights every second visit to the salon.
Shampoo to Make Hair Color Last Longer
Use a mild shampoo without sulfates or sodium chloride. If your color has faded, try a color deposit shampoo once a week. As the name suggests, these add color back into your hair.
Wash Hair Less
Try to wash your hair less. That’s because water and shampoo rinses away your color. There’s the dry shampoo method if you are concerned about your look or cleanliness. Speak to us.
Gloss to Make Hair Color Last Longer
Many salons offer glosses free of charge as a way for clients to extend the life of their hair color. Glosses applied in the salon take about 10 minutes. At home, glosses are another option.
Temporary Hair Color
We do not tend to use temporary colors, unless it’s for a special occasion and you want the color to wash away quickly – otherwise, what’s the point?
If you’re 80 percent grey, especially around the hairline, try a product like Color Mark. It goes on like a mascara to cover roots. It will wash out though, so it’s not a good solution for the long term.
Getting your hair color right is a science. Choosing the right hair color is quite simple: Stick to colors that complement your skin tone, figure out if you’re best off with single-process color or highlights and then decide whether or not you’re going to pay someone else to do it – of course, we do not recommend DIY hair color – well we wouldn’t, would we?
If you want hair color, please note that Javier only has one hair color appointment each day. This practice is to ensure he has adequate time for all his clients’ needs. Evening appointments for urgent hair coloring is a possibility, but note that later

Hi,
A while ago I came in for a consultation about hair extensions. While I decided to put that on hold, I would really like to get in for a colouring appointment.
When is your earliest appointment? Do you have a price list?
Thanks,
